Privacy — the short version: the app collects nothing

Plain language, no tracking inside the app.

The Lidwork app

The app has no telemetry, no analytics and no account. It doesn't send your usage, your Mac's details or anything else to us or to third parties, and there is no Lidwork server for it to talk to. Its settings stay on your Mac.

  • The only network check is Apple's own. Lidwork asks macOS whether this copy was bought from the App Store (Apple's StoreKit purchase check). That check runs between your Mac and Apple; Lidwork receives only "bought" or "not confirmed", and keeps that answer on your Mac. Once confirmed, it works offline.
  • Updates come through the Mac App Store, like any App Store app.

Buying

Lidwork is sold only on the Mac App Store. The purchase goes through Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We receive only what Apple shares with every developer — anonymous sales reports — and never your name, email or card details.

The website

  • Umami (self-hosted, cookieless) counts page views, referrers and button clicks for everyone. It stores no cookies and no personal identifiers.
  • Google Analytics 4 loads only if you click “Allow” in the banner. If you don't, nothing is sent to Google. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.
  • The web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page) for security, and rotates them.

Your rights and contact

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object — write to app@ykv.lv. If you're in the EU you can also complain to your data-protection authority. Lidwork is made by Sasha Yakovlev.

We'll update this page if anything changes, and the date above will change with it.
